Aikido Sydney City’s first-ever Kids and Families Aikido Camp!

Published on 21 Apr, 2013

We’re extremely excited to announce Aikido Sydney City’s first-ever Aikido camp for kids and families! This very special weekend will take place in a secluded retreat centre inside the Blue Mountains World Heritage Area, complete with its own dedicated dojo space, log fireplace, and dormitory-style accommodation or private bunk rooms inside converted 1920s train carriages!

The camp will include a mixture of Aikido training and other Japanese activities, bushwalking, soccer, and a campfire under the stars, as well as taking in the highlights of the Blue Mountains Winter Magic Festival. Camps such as this (known as ‘gasshuku’) are an integral part of Aikido training in Japan and provide wonderful opportunities for children to deepen bonds with each other and their parents through shared experience.

All students must be accompanied by at least one parent or guardian in order to attend. Spaces are limited so please register early to avoid disappointment!
