Established in 2001, the AKI Orange Dojo is under the direction of Stephen Nugent and Fiona Hawke. They have been been studying Aikido since the early 1990s and have made significant contributions to the teaching and understanding of the Art in Australia as senior students and instructors at various Aikido Kenkyukai dojo in Sydney, Newcastle and Canberra. Their training has taken them to Japan, North America and Europe, where they have received instruction from Takeda Yoshinobu Shihan and a number of his senior students, as well as teachers from other Aikido lineages. They currently hold the rank of 3rd dan.
